I work across painting, works on paper, collage, and sculpture. My practice explores the tension between structure and spontaneity through color, line, layering, repetition, and material. Grids, pathways, boundaries, and recurring forms create systems that are then interrupted by gesture, irregularity, movement, and accident.

I work intuitively, allowing each piece to develop through a conversation between intention and material response rather than toward a predetermined outcome. I am interested in what happens when something orderly begins to shift — when a structure is established and then asked to adapt.

My background as a professional violinist informs the work through rhythm, repetition, improvisation, listening, and embodied attention. Across media, line may become thread or wire, painted forms may become nodes or suspended structures, and two-dimensional compositions may extend into space.

Underlying the work is an interest in connection — between people, bodies, materials, and space — and in forms of knowing that are physical and intuitive rather than entirely verbal. I want the work to remain open enough to be felt before it is explained, allowing tension, movement, recognition, and surprise to emerge through the encounter.
